Tutoring

We tutor students of all ages and for all subjects. Tutoring at ETS begins with an individualized program developed in coordination between ETS staff, the parent(s), and the teacher(s). Communication among the "team" members is critical to your child's success. Depending on the individualized tutoring plan, sessions can incorporate homework help, organization, time management, and study strategies. We also provide tutoring for SAT/ACT Prep, and midterm and final exam prep.

We also have special programs such as the Wilson Reading Program (ideal for students with dyslexia or decoding difficulties, readers who lack fluency, or poor spellers) which is based on the Orton-Gillingham philosophy and utilizes a multi-sensory approach to phonics instruction for reading and spelling. We also provide tutoring with the Reading REWARDS Program for students who have basic decoding skills but struggle with decoding longer words. Students are taught a flexible strategy for reading multi-syllabic words to increase speed and accuracy which often leads to enhanced comprehension.
