Study Tip of the Week....

posted Mar 23, 2017, 6:12 AM by Nancy Bell

This week’s tip…..Help your children improve their reading comprehension skills by having them pre-read their textbooks (when they were in kindergarten, we used to call this taking a “picture walk” through a book).  Before reading a chapter, your students should skim the headings and read the picture captions as well as study tables, charts, and graphs.  This will give them a good overview before they read the chapter and aids comprehension.
